LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS – COCA COLA PAVILION

Prokol Protective Coatings Pure Polyurea was supplied for the amazing Coca Cola Beatbox Pavilion at the 2012 London Olympics

This unusual structure invited visitors to make a musical collage of sporting sounds by touching parts of its structure. The sound samples, included a human heartbeat and trainers squeaking on a tennis court, are taken from the Olympic song ‘Anywhere in the World’ recorded by British producer Mark Ronson.

The beatbox was a huge draw for visitors and a solution was needed for a membrane that could withstand exceptionally high footfall, provide complete waterproofing, require zero maintenance and ensured it remained environmentally friendly – our 8-second cure, seamless, Hotspray Rocathaan 136T was a flawless choice for the job.
